Today the Inn is a popular country pub offering a warm welcome in traditional surroundings where you can relax in the bar and enjoy hand pulled Yorkshire Ales and great food. The bar has lots of character with traditional wooden floors and beams, not forgetting the roaring open fire to greet you on your arrival. The Railway which ran for 100 years and was closed in 1965 is now a very popular scenic off-road walk between Scarborough and Whitby and is used by hikers, dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists. This will bring you to the doorstep of the Inn for well deserved refreshments.
People taking part in The Cleveland Way Coastal walk regularly use the Inn as an overnight stop off as it is less than 1/4 mile from the coastal path.
